Regional Sales Manager Residential / Construction Building Trades

South / Southeast USA

We are seeking an organized, energetic, and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join our sales team. Our business is in the Residential Construction Building Trades industry and you will be building relationships in your territory with these distributors and wholesalers.

In this role you will oversee all sales and distribution in your assigned region and work to grow your customer base which will be Residential construction building materials building trades wholesale and distribution clients. Candidate must possess innate leadership qualities, excel in maintaining client and vendor relationships, and have a true passion for sharing the benefits our products offer.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Create a distinct sales process for sales managers and reps to follow
  • Establish clear sales objectives for the week, month, year, etc.
  • Initiate and innovate marketing strategies to increase sales and reduce costs
  • Announce, present, and educate sales team of any new or upcoming products
  • Hold and direct sales meetings
  • Train new sales department hires in company processes and procedures
  • Manage and supervise sales team to ensure they are on track in achieving sales goals
  • Lead, motivate, acknowledge, and inspire your team to perform beyond expectations
  • Hold frequent performance reviews with staff to provide constructive feedback
  • Continually monitor and track regional sales performance
  • Strategically forecast and manage budgetary information
  • Ensure customer issues are attended to appropriately and efficiently
  • Attend cross-functional meetings that will benefit the sales department
  • Collaborate with local distributors to ensure proper inventory and deliveries
  • Interact directly with customers to educate them on our products and answer questions
  • Build and maintain positive client and customer relationships
  • Attend trade shows and conventions as needed
  • Be a fitting representative and promoter of our brand and the products we deliver

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred
  • 5+ years relevant sales experience calling on Residential wholesale and distribution customers preferably in the building trades industries
  • Computer literate and proficient using Microsoft Suite
  • Demonstrate knowledge in our area of sales
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts effectively
  • Highly organized with excellent follow through skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Natural leader with proven management skills
  • Experience forecasting sales and building a customer base
  • Comfortable with air travel approx 50% and be able to live near major airport in the South / Southeast USA
  • Persistent, unyielding, and results driven
